Jenny Allison, LCSW

Jenny Allison, LCSW, is a psychotherapist who specializes in couples and family therapy through her small, privately owned counseling practice. While Jenny specializes in working with couples and families, Jenny also understands that families are made up of individuals. That is why Jenny is also passionate about working with the individuals that make up a family, including adolescents and adults. In her practice, Jenny is passionate about educating her clients on mental health, communication, and boundaries.

At her core, Jenny is a follower of Jesus Christ, and models her care for clients after Jesus’ example. She believes strongly in the value of being a relational therapist who prioritizes building rapport and connection to achieve therapeutic success.

Jenny received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Tennessee in 2008.

She is trained in evidenced based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and family therapy.

In her spare time, Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband, her two sons, and her dog (a black lab named Miller). You will often find Jenny at the lake, or the beach spending time with friends and family, or volunteering with the student ministry at her church. During football season, you will almost always find Jenny wearing orange, splitting her time between Auburn and Tennessee as a house divided. Jenny’s first love will always be the Tennessee VOLS, however, over the years she has grown a special place in her heart for the loveliest village on the plains.
